Our Pistes

On the north side of Idre Fjäll, you'll find the best snow conditions, along with Specialen (black) and Carvingsvängen (red), which are typically our Race Arena slopes. Both pistes are illuminated to make the most of the days, and you can drive all the way to the Nord 6:an chairlift, which efficiently serves the slopes.

Snow-Sure

Every year, we save large quantities of snow that we use for the preseason, allowing us to guarantee start dates. Our location in northwestern Dalarna makes Idre Fjäll snow-reliable with excellent conditions for an early and long winter, providing unbeatable training opportunities during our preseason.

Alpine Training at Race Arena North

Idre Fjäll Race Arena North offers an exclusive training opportunity for clubs and teams, where many of tomorrow's alpine skiing stars train every year. Race Arena in the north area features steep and challenging slopes that are best suited for more experienced skiers. Later in the season, we open Väst, which is suitable for younger skiers.

Good to Know

  • You have the opportunity for up to two training sessions per day, typically one session in the morning and one in the afternoon.
  • Please note that one training session is intended for slalom training and unsuitable for giant slalom.
  • Training times are usually between 07:00-19:00 every day, with the lifts open from 06:45-19:15.
  • We aim to have a maximum of 25 skiers per trail and session, and we reserve the right to combine groups to accommodate everyone.
  • The trails are numbered from the skier's right, where the team using trail 1 goes first, and other teams follow the same line.
  • Please begin your course preparation at the scheduled time.
  • Before the training session ends, the course must be cleared, and the gates must be removed.
  • You will receive the course schedule via email to your contact person for the booked club/athlete. We inform about when the schedule has been sent and if there are any changes affecting everyone on our Facebook page "Idre Fjäll Race Arena Nord."
  • If there is sufficient snow and low occupancy, we can also offer free skiing areas and giant slalom.
  • For your convenience, we offer the option to rent poles, a drilling machine, and coaching assistance.

Ski Cross Training at Race Arena North

At Idre Fjäll, we take pride in being Sweden's national arena for ski cross. Every year, we host the Swedish World Cup event in ski cross, a major and high-speed event with the entire world elite in attendance. Come and train with us as well!

Goof to Know

  • For those who want to train start training above "Specialen" and between the middle station to Nord 6, there is a stretch of approximately 100 meters available.
  • Clubs/athletes are responsible for maintaining the course and have access to transport alongside the course.
  • After completing the training, please ski down on the strip to the left of the bump (not on the course side), skiers left.
  • We also offer the opportunity to train in the Skicross course in "Väst" as soon as snow conditions permit. Typically, training in the entire Skicross course only occurs during the regular winter season.
