River Rafting: The Glötta Ride

River rafting amidst incredible views! We head to Norway and launch the boats in Femunden, Norway's third-largest lake, located 65 km from Idre Fjäll. After a short paddle across the lake, we reach the first rapid, which is spectacular. Glötta is a scenic stretch with some really fun rapids! If the weather permits, we get majestic views of the Rendalssølen mountain massif during our post-trip snack. The activity must be booked in advance.

Come and learn the basics of mountain biking. We will challenge ourselves in the Skills Area and practice control, positioning, and cornering. This course is ideal for beginners or those who haven’t ridden much mountain bike before and want to improve bike control while learning fundamental techniques and enjoying great cycling in the mountains. Disc Golf

Welcome to Idre Fjäll's disc golf course! Enjoy our challenging 12 holes, surrounded by trees, heather, and the beautiful mountain view. The holes vary in technical difficulty with multiple lines, suitable for beginners as well as experienced players. It is free to play, and discs are available for rent at the Activity Center and the kiosk by the high ropes course. A map of the course can be found via the Read More link.

Meet and Pet Reindeer

Pet and feed the Sami's tame reindeer and this year's newborn calves. Experience the feeling of the reindeer coming to eat from your hands and how soft their fur and muzzle are when you pet them. It’s a great activity for children! Learn about the amazing reindeer and how well adapted it is to survive in an Arctic climate. For instance, did you know that reindeer have better vision than humans in some respects? The activity must be booked in advance.

Experience the power of a sled dog! During our Husky Hike, the sled dog is harnessed to you via a belt around your waist. You'll get assistance from the dog, making uphill sections much easier. We’ll hike together through the forest, on trails, and gravel roads in easy terrain. Along the way, we’ll stop to let the dogs take a break in natural water sources. Hike to Maadther Ajjas

This is a magical experience where you’ll see how life as a reindeer herder used to be. We will hike with our tame reindeer to Maadther Ajja's summer tent, where he lived with his 10 children, farmhands, and dogs. In the tent, a Sami meal and coffee cooked over the fire will be served. Sharpen your mountain biking skills! In this intermediate course for children ages 8-15, we will focus on refining braking and cornering techniques to improve control and flow. We will also introduce drop-offs and rocky sections in the Skills Area. This course is suitable for those who have completed the MTB Basic Course or have prior mountain biking experience. The activity must be booked in advance.

Horseback Riding: Introductory Tour

Ideal for those who haven’t ridden much but are ready to venture out. This is a gentler ride through the scenic fjäll forests, navigating trails and small paths at a pace suitable for everyone. Experience the joy of gliding along on a trustworthy horse into the wilderness. After the ride, we’ll all help prepare the horses and let them back into the pasture. Husky: Kennel Visit

The dog kennel is located at Höstsätern, 8 km outside Idre. Here, we have a pack of 32 sled dogs. You will get to play with the dogs, brush them, feed them, and have the opportunity to learn about their behavior and different breeds. The activity must be booked in advance.

Family Barbecue

Join us for a grill evening at the beautiful Gränjestjärn. A free activity for the whole family! Bring what you want to grill or try making stick bread (we provide the stick bread dough and toppings). There will also be a quiz walk and activities on-site. Meet at the grill area at Gränjestjärn, which you can walk to. From the ski stadium, follow the paved path to a broad boardwalk that leads you down to the idyllic Gränjestjärn, below the base of Städjan. Please note that the first and last 1.5 km of the hike are on or next to the paved roller ski trail. Free, but the activity must be booked in advance.

Climbing Wall: Try-Out

For the adventurous, we offer our climbing wall. Here, you can test your strength and endurance at a height of twelve meters. Challenge yourself to see how high you can climb while getting an adrenaline rush and a sense of overcoming obstacles. When you reach the top, take a moment to enjoy the stunning view of the mountain landscape. No advance booking is required. Price: 100 SEK.
