Accessibility on idrefjall.se

At Stiftelsen Idre Fjäll, we are committed to making our website as accessible and user-friendly as possible for all our visitors. We aim to meet the requirements of the European Accessibility Act (EAA) and follow the guidelines of WCAG 2.1 Level AA, ensuring that digital services are accessible to everyone. This page describes how we work with accessibility, the challenges we are addressing, and how you can help us improve further.

How accessible is idrefjall.se?

We acknowledge that there are areas where idrefjall.se can be improved, and we are actively working to address these. Our goal is to create a website that works for everyone, regardless of their needs or assistive tools. We strive to make our website compatible with modern assistive technologies such as screen readers, keyboard navigation, and other accessibility tools.

Identified areas for improvement

We have identified some challenges that we are working to address:

  • Images with text: We are working to minimize the use of text in images and ensure that all important information is also available in text format.
  • Keyboard navigation: Some functions may be difficult to use with only a keyboard. We are improving navigation and access for keyboard users.
  • Contrast: We are reviewing color choices and design to ensure that text and background always have sufficient contrast.
  • Image descriptions: We are adding alternative text to images where it is currently missing.
  • Links and structure: We are improving links by adding clear link text and names, and working towards a more logical structure in the code.
  • Content grouping: On some pages, there is a lack of clear grouping, which can make navigation difficult. We are addressing this to enhance the user experience.
  • Subtitles: All new audio and video materials on idrefjall.se will include subtitles to make them accessible to everyone. We are also working to gradually phase out older material without subtitles and replace it with new, subtitled content.
